Gatsby Night

Welcome to 2014!  In an effort to do a better job posting what I make, lets start on the first day of the year!

I made this brocade shift from my own pattern (yay!).  I got the fabric on my trip to NY last year.  I hand beaded the top:

added fringe to the bottom:

and fully lined the whole thing.  The sleeves are closed with gold bias tape.

I wore my new shinny shift to a Gatsby themed New Years Eve party.  Doesn't my hubby look adorable too?  I love him.  :)

Anyway, I have so many sewing goals this year, not the least of which is to simply blog about what I make more consistently.  I'm ready for 2014 to be the best year ever, although 2013 is going to be hard to beat!
